Jointly Discuss Cross-border Educational Cooperation and Facilitate the Internationalization of Talent Cultivation
From November 1st to 2nd, the 3rd China-ROK Education Forum – University Presidents' Forum opened in Tai'an. Hosted by the China Private Education Association, co-organized by the 21st Century Korea-China Exchange Association, and undertaken by Taishan University of Science and Technology, the forum was attended and addressed by distinguished leaders including Liu Lin (Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, National Supervisor, and Chairman of the China Private Education Association), Kim Han-kyu (Chairman of the 21st Century Korea-China Exchange Association and former South Korean Government Minister), Wang Luxin (Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, former Educational Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, and former Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Jeju), and Zhang Zhigang (Member of the Working Committee of Education of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Member of the Party Leadership Group, and Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education). Chen Chunfa, Vice President of our university, participated in this grand event.

Focusing on the field of international higher education, this forum themed "Strengthening International Cooperation and Promoting the Integration of Industry and Education" included agendas such as the China-ROK Film Appreciation Week, China-ROK University Summit, China-ROK University Keynote Forum, Cooperation Signing Ceremony of the China-ROK University Industry-Education Integration Innovation Practice Exchange Conference, and China-ROK College Student Art Exchange Gala. More than 100 universities and well-known enterprises from China and South Korea conducted in-depth exchanges on school-running concepts, talent training, academic research, educational technology, etc., and jointly explored cooperation and exchange mechanisms in student study abroad, short-term training, teacher training, scientific research projects and other fields.
Vice President Chen Chunfa Delivers a Keynote Report
At the forum, Vice President Chen Chunfa delivered a keynote report titled "Comprehensively Promoting High-Level Educational Opening-Up to Propel the University to New Heights of Development", elaborating on and sharing the practices, experiences and achievements of Sichuan Technology and Business University in education and teaching, scientific research innovation, international exchanges and other fields. He pointed out that Sichuan Technology and Business University has always adhered to the concept of open education, actively engaged in international exchange and cooperation, and strived to cultivate high-quality talents with an international perspective. The university has established sound cooperative relations with many overseas universities, achieving remarkable results in faculty exchanges, student exchanges, talent training and other aspects. He expressed expectations for further strengthening cooperation and joint development with South Korean universities in the future. Vice President Chen Chunfa's report was highly praised by all the guests present.

During the forum, Vice President Chen Chunfa also held in-depth exchanges with several South Korean universities, discussing matters such as joint school-running, faculty and student exchanges, academic degree upgrading, and short-term study tours. All parties stated that they would give full play to their respective advantages to promote China-ROK educational cooperation towards a higher level and broader fields.
Participating in the 3rd China-ROK Education Forum is a key measure for Sichuan Technology and Business University to implement the national strategy of opening up education to the outside world and deepen international exchanges and cooperation. The successful holding of this forum has not only built a platform for our university to showcase its school-running achievements but also erected a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the educational circles of China and South Korea.
